I feel like the biggest challenge with the current podcast ‘boom’ is to find a format/style that differentiates you from the other 999,999 podcasts out there. That’s definitely not to say that you can’t find a way to stand out I just think its going to take more originality and creativity than even a year ago. Not that this is a bad thing at all as it will hopefully get people to push the boundaries a little more and leave us with some pretty interesting results.

Hey Jim, I agree. It seems like everybody’s falling into the trap of thinking there’s only one way to do a podcast or they’re just trying to mimick what the most successful guys are doing at the moment.

The next wave of podcast success stories will likely come from people who do something completely different from what the current guys are doing.

I think it comes down to quality, I listen to Mark Marons podcast, because it is such a great one, same with Adam Corolla’s very different animal, both of them very high quality shows.
