Connected Comedy School

FIRST SESSION IS NOW SOLD OUT!
If you’d like to reserve a spot for the next session (beginning in mid-September), please email me.

I’ve created Connected Comedy School for three reasons: to create an inexpensive way for comedians to get personalized consulting and advice from me, to provide an opportunity for comedians to learn from each other, and to offer a great overview of the “Connected Comedy way” of building a comedy career.

If you’ve found the articles I write on Connected Comedy helpful, I’m very confident you will find Connected Comedy School a valuable extension to what you’ve already learned. Please note that as with all things Connected Comedy, my emphasis and expertise revolves around the business and marketing of comedy and this is not a school that will teach you how to do stand up.

But I’ve got lots of other great things for you to learn from Connected Comedy School and here they are:

WHAT YOU GET:

Personal Consulting: As a class member you’ll get a month’s worth of personal consulting from me by email! This includes answers to any and all specific questions you have about your career, projects, or the comedy business in general.

The Chance To Learn From Others: You’ll also be able to see what advice I give to other class members by seeing how I answer their questions and what I recommend to them. Many comedians deal with the same issues and you’ll likely learn a lot from what I teach other comics who may be dealing with similar issues as you are.

Everything You Need To Know To Grow Your Career: You get a crash course in everything you need to know to further your career with twice weekly Connected Comedy Guides to everything from Facebook to booking more gigs.

Connections To Other Comedians With Similar Commitment To Their Career: Because this is a group class, you will  be able to network with other comedians who have a similar commitment to growing their career. This will give you some great resources to work with well beyond the time the class is over.

HOW IT WORKS

Connected Comedy School is conducted entirely by email and consists of 12 emails you’ll receive over the course of four weeks. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect:

In this opening email you’ll get an overview of what’s to come and will be able to see my initial thoughts about your career as well as see my thoughts about other class members as well. You’ll also be encouraged at this point to send me any specific questions you have that you’d like me to address in future classes.

There’s no way to guarantee that you book more gigs, but there are definitely things you can do to increase the chances that you get more stage time. I’ll spell those out in this email.

This email will show you how you can actually get some benefits out of Twitter by using it as more than just a place to post jokes and promote shows.
